CAREER SUMMARY
PRE-DEBUT
Sunoo had dreams of becoming a singer from a young age. When he was in middle school, he was offered a chance to audition from an unspecified agency and started to audition for multiple entertainment companies from then. He auditioned at BELIFT LAB and and became an official trainee there.
In June 2020, Sunoo was one of the 24 trainees to appear on the survival audition program I-LAND, co-produced by CJ E&M and HYBE. He became one of the 7 finalists to debut as ENHYPEN, coming in eighth place by earning more than 930,000 votes and debuting as the producer’s pick.
Sunoo trained for 10 months before debut.
AFTER DEBUT
In 2020, Sunoo debuted as a member of ENHYPEN, a 7-member group under BELIFT LAB, with Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, and Ni-ki.
In 2022, Sunoo was a radio DJ on EBS FM radio with Jungwon on a program called Listen by ENHYPEN from February 20th to June 26th.

VOCAL
Sunoo has been praised for his distinctive vocal tones, which have been dubbed “refreshing” or “lively.” Rather than relying a lot on bending techniques, his vocals use clear belting more often. His vocals thus fit with lighthearted and sentimental b-sides of ENHYPEN such as “Polaroid Love” and “Bills.”

Sunoo has been praised for his stage presence since his pre-debut days on I-LAND for his dynamic facial expressions. His dancing skills have improved the most in the fandom since debut. His style of dancing has been called graceful and fluid, showing his strength especially for “waves” (body rolls) and connecting different moves.
